Pirate ship/horn

Post by Charlotte »

Help!

I've gotten the pirate horn to get of the island, but when i give it to the fellow, the game loads and I' transported to an other corner of the room. I can no longer talk to hin to get on the ship. If i reload and just wait for him to show up on the docks he doesn't show (since i haven't told him i have the horn?). What do i do? Is there something wrong with the game? Or do i just have to wait for ages to meet him/be transported to the ship? Very irritating!

Try !

I had the same "Error" too .. I just had the luck of saving before exiting the asylumn. So i got the horn from the girl, ran to the tavern. Talked to him, the started an conversation in the middle of the room with him talking to an invisible Pirate Chief. And if you wanted to talk to him, he doesnt answered ?
I think its the same as i had. I tried it a few times ( about 9, 10 times ) and then finally i got to the ship. So just try and try ..

Hope i could helped you ..

You don't actually need the Pirate Horn. You can leave the island through a portal in the asylum.

Hmm if you want the mantle of Spellturning ( great item ! ) and a nice Quest about the forgotten Realms and a bit of Hack & Slay, go with the Ship. Otherwise, grab the key from Irenicus´s room and leave per Portal. Up to you ..
I had the choice, but wanted the mantle, so went through the City of the Fish

The Wave halberd, Belt, Silver Sword, and lots of XP makes taking the portal in the Asylum a very bad option IMO.

If no other solution works then use the console to move to area AR2300, and use SK to get the silver blade.

okay....

Yes think so, i talk to him and tell him i have the horn, everything is okay, and then he just magically transports us to the other side of the room.... No ship, no conversation and he never shows up at the docks.

I'm just worried that i wont get through the portal without loosing any npc's ...I dont have a high enough thief to trap search properly...Or that i will loose my "divine soul" in the underdark. Will i get to J. Irenius if i go through the underdark as well? Think I have high enoug XP (most characters is lvl 14/15, some at 11 like imoen)...
If i end up loosin my soul, will i have to reload, or can i stay "cursed" like that for "ever" in the game, just with the ability to tranform into the slayer (is that a bad thing)?

What do you mean by console A2300? Is it some kind of cheat? Coz' i dont think i can write something in the game....

Greatful for all help. :)

Check out this thread Charlotte http://www.gamebanshee.com/forums/baldu ... 14938.html it tells you how to enable the console that you need to use, the console command is
CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR2300")
You can download Shadow Keeper (SK) the seve game editor here Shadow Keeper

don't fret about your soul too much, all will be c#come clear eventually. You have to go to the Underdark to catch up with Irenicus, but there are two ways of getting there. The best route is by using the ship, the alternative was put in I suspect because Bioware couldn't figure out how to fix the intermittent bug.
