RPG Games Recommendation

Hi all
I have only played a few RPGs, but I think I'm hooked.
SWKOTOR I & II
Neverwinter Nights
Morrowind
I enjoyed them all.
I like the 'figure out how to do it' as much as the 'hack and slash' portions.
I don't mind learning how to play the older games. They're a lot cheaper after a few years.
I'm thinking about my next 'adventure' and am considering Baldur's Gate. Any suggestions?

Icewind Dale 1 and 2, Baldurs Gate 1 and 2, Elder Scrolls 2 Daggerfall, Elder Scrolls 3 Tribunal and Bloodmoon (if you've only played morrowind), and Divine Divinity are good places to start.
Aside from Morrowind/Tribunal/Bloodmoon, though, most of the games I mentioned aren't even 3D if that's important to you.Posted 05-18-2008 at 12:17 AM by Siberys

You say you don't really mind about graphical quality. If that's so, try & hunt out the various titles by SSI, especially the Gold Box series like Pools of Radiance (1987-1991!),
Also the Eye of the Beholder series (not the GBA tile, which is more akin to FTL's Dungeon Master) - EotB, Legend of Darkmoon & Assault On Myth Drannor; also from SSI working with Westwood (Command & Conquer).
Like BG, these were barrier-breakers of their day and, IMO, the standard bearers of CRPG at the time, along with the Ultima series.
For sheer size, try the earlier Elder Scrolls titles, Arena (now a free download) or Daggerfall).Posted 08-28-2008 at 02:02 AM by Tamrhind@gmail.
