Hell's rewards! *spoiler*

Post by Tulkas the Stout »

I've been to Hell, and now my quetsion is, are the rewards you get for putting the tears in the eyes different if you choose to complete an obstacle another way, say, If I give the genie the blackrazor, I got 10%MR. If I kill the genie and keep the BR, do I still get 10%MR? And what happened to these guides here on Gamebanshee, I thought GB had guides to the rewards you get.

The Hells :

Trial 1,pride: Good reward= 20% res. to fire/cold/electricity
Evil reward= Gain 200k exp

Trial 2,fear: Good reward= Immunity to +1 weapons and less(woot!)
Evil reward= +2 to CON

Trial 3,selfishness: Good reward= +10% to magic res. on top of what you currently have
Evil reward= +2 to ac

Trial 4,greed: Good reward= +2 to saves
Evil reward= +15 hps, plus that sweet lil' sword(Blackrazor)

Trial 5,wrath: Good reward= +1 to WIS and CHA
Evil reward= +2 to STR

*Note* If you make any of the evil choices, your character loses 1pt or reputation..and your alignment changes to evil.

-Enjoy

I think the wrath test also gives you an extra point in your prime requisite if you take the good path.

There was a bug with regard to Paladins and Rangers. I don't know the specifics, but a change of alignment didn't trigger anything else (like the loss of abilities)

If you turn evil because of the Hell tests, Paladins and Rangers suppose to turn to Fallen Paladins and Fallen Rangers, respectively. But it wasn't in the original script, the fix is available at Baldurdash.

At test 5, the +2strenght is very special, it is above any stenght modifing items like the girdle of ....giant strengt.
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

The bonus is intended to work on top of other items, so it's 100% normal.

okay, thanks everyone. One other thing, does ToB continue from Hell? and do you start with the party you finished the game if you use your old party?

Perhaps I should post this in the ToB forum

Yes and yes. But you might want to install the patch first - if you haven't already done so - there have been a problem with moving from SoA to ToB.
