I think you should cut your hair. Hair grows, so in case you don't like it shorter, you'd have your long hair back later on!

I used to have long hair in the middle of my teens, mostly because I didn't know what else to do with it. The problem with long hair is that it often tends to look just like a long hair hanging there, it's becomes boring and it's also very tedious to wash and dry. When I cut off my hair to shoulder lenght, I really wondered why I hadn't done it before.

That's exactly how I felt about my hair! But then, my hair is kind of special, because I go to a tiny private school, and there's about 25 kids in 6th-12th, and I have the longest hair... And all the girls love to play with it and stuff. And it actually really is pretty. All my sisters have beautiful hair, too. And my hair... Well, I'm one of those weird/hyper types, so I like to brush it and make it fluff out and be crazy, and that's just like, how I am known in my school. And if I cut it I can't do that anymore. But you know, I've been the center of attention for long enough. :p (Not really, hehe.) But like pretty much everyone has said, if I don't like it, it will always grow back. And I was blessed with fast-growing hair. AND.... I just convinced my dad to let me get black and blue highlights in it! Whoohoo! :D :p

I know how you feel! I had really long hair for a really long time :) , actually, until secondary school, and I got enough of it. It was just too much to handle, I got tired of drying it for an hour. So I wanted to have it cut, but then everybody came nagging me not to do it and said that I would regret it very much. So that kept me back for a while, but then I had it cut finally, and nothing happened :) It felt better not to have a heavy load on my head :) And it grows really fast, so I could grow it back halfway down my back in about a year if I wanted (it's a bit longer than my shoulder now).

So, I didn't regret it at all, it still looks long and much easier to handle! And the boys still love me ;)

I refuse to answer on the grounds my advise will comeback to bite me. ;)

I will say this though, the rampage of Genghis Khan would be a slight blight compared to the rampage I would let loose if anyone cut my Cher Hair!!!!

@Weasel, you have hair? I thought it was fur.... :D

Hm... Unregisturd... I like long hair but short hair is fine too. Look yourself at the mirror. Like? Yes? Dont cut it. Look again. Dont like? Chop it down. I recently changed my hair type. Its cool to do that.
@Weasel, you have hair? I thought it was fur.... :D
why do you think its refered to as "cher" hair? :D

i myself have had pretty long hair, mine is also thick and curley (rare for natural blondes usually) i have had a "boys" cut (that sucked, wouldnt reomend atall) and then just a few weeks back i had about 6-9 inches taken off, it is now just below my shouldurs, and i love it. have you ever considered trying to straighten your hair with blowdryer or flat iron? it helps tame the fizz BIG TIME, at least for me. and yes gels and mousse will also be a big help depending on how "unrully" your curls can be ( mine have finnally started calming down in the past few years) hope this helps, and as others have said, why not cut, you can donate to a good cause.. and you can always let it grow back if its not your thing
:D Smile.... That way they wont know what your thinking :p

He already got a girlfriend and I don't like him anymore. :p

Sparkykat, yeah, I've straightened it before... I LOVE it when it's straight. It's so much longer and it like, turns a different color almost. But straightening took like, 45 minutes, so when I do chop my hair, hopefully it will only take about 15 or so.

Thanks for all your input guys! It's cool to know all of your opinions. :p

I've tried spiking my hair the length it is now... Didn't work. :( Hehe. When I was younger, I went to a Halloween Festival as Pippi Longstocking. My mom braided my hair and then put hangers in it so it stuck out straight from my ears.

TO EVERYONE: I'm trying to get my mom to call in an appointment for me to get my hair cut. I'm gonna put black and blue streaks in it once it's shoulder-length. I'll see what I can do about pics, Brynn. :D

Before Picture

Ok, well, due to much popular demand, I took a picture of my long hair. I had to take it myself, so it isn't the best... and I had just combed my hair so my hair is really fluffy. But I just wanted to show you all how long it is before I cut it...

So here it is, sorry it's such bad quality:

Though I loathe to say it, I'd advise you to cut your hair if you've had your fill of it at its current length. It sounds as if you're almost resolute.

Edit: Well, that's pretty long, Unregisturd! My younger brother's hair is just about that long, to tell the truth, though his is more straight than that. Mine is almost as curly as yours, but it's currently almost mid-back length, and grows out more than it does long at this point.

Well, forget that idea. :( :( :( An appoinntment can't be made today... Turns out the lady doesn't have enough time in-between the two appointments that she thought she could fit me in to. And her next opening is on Friday, but my parents can't get me there, and that's frustrating. After Friday she doesn't have an opening for a long time, and I wanted to get it done before school started. :( Oh well... She said she'll call us if some appointment gets cancelled... I really hope one does.
