Game
Game
I agree with some of you guys, I couldn't really care about te plot as long as the game was more challenging, or a bit longer, I mean it took like 20 hrs at the most 2 complete it once.
I think the games plot was easy to understand, I mean you are a war hero, who just happenes to be welcomed into the jedi, when you see visions you would of had to of beenthee b4 and the fact that reven weres a mask.
I think the enemys were slightly dissapointing at some stages becausethey ar so easy to kill and there isn't much of a variation.
The most annoying this was taking the dark side path and people just let you do things, I mean you just keep on and they just have slightly different responses, I mean I was talking rubish to bastilla for ages and all I got was I think youare straying towards the dark side.
I think there should be more Mini games in the kotor 2,bcause there were only like 8 swoop races on the first 1, and the fighters were so easy to destroy, overall I think they should make the AI alot harder to kill but, playing fall out and other games made by obsidian I think it is safe to say that this is going to be a big improvement, and nothing short of amazing.

I think for most of us fallout players, Kotor left something to be desired gameplay wise...
I will say this, I enjoyed how compact it was...Being able to finish quickly is nice, but at the same time you don't feel like you've accomplished as much...
I remember playing fallout and sometimes I would have to take several days to beat a particular enemy, or a particular part of the map..I can take about a day per world in Kotor...It would be interesting to have a compact version, and a full version...each with the same storyline, but you have to take more steps to finish in a more full version...
I think though that we will see a more intricate plot and character development as well as gameplay developement however, because in creatiung a sequel you cannot have the exact same game, you deifintely have to make it worth the gamers money and time...
(On a side note, I have tears running down my cheeks at how bad this thread is...seriously, whatever happened to english?)
(Yeah, I know, everybody complains about it, but still...)

Well - because this is an international board, not everybody has english as their first, or even second language.
The fact that most everybody here can communicate written in english on some level, is a feat it is self.
I'd like to see all the people with english as first language trying to communicate on similar level in their second or third language.
If I've misunderstood your point, I appologize.

Yeah, if you read the previews, and it might be in the Unofficial faq... It says that Minigames will be completely optional...
I didn't mind miinigames so much...I was pretty good at Pazaak, and my shooting skills aren't half bad, but man I suck at Swoop racing...At least as far as Tatooine goes, I had minute long runs...it was horrible, and the time to beat was 24 seconds!

The plot was too simple? Come on, guys.... It's Star Wars... What did you expect? And you only spent 20 hours on this game??? The first time I played it, I spent over 70. And then the next times I spent over 80 hours. Or something like that... I think there's only "over 80 hours of gameplay!" on this. But anyways, I still haven't even completed all the stuff there is to do. And I've beaten it 5 1/2 times! (Hehe... 5 1/2... I'm cool.) 20 hours... Pff... And you call yourself a gamer...
I'm an xboxer.
"In case I don't make it... *dun dun dun* ...tell my dad... *dun dun dun* ...he's weird."
I never took the time to stop and realize that death takes many forms... even while alive.
Obi Wan Kenobi is one hot Jedi.

Well - I didn't use much more then about 25-30 hours gameplay beating it the first time, and the second and third time, I discovered that I only had missed a few side quests during that first run. (but didn't spend much more time on it for thoese quests)
I was so dissapointed, because Taris seemed rather big, but then you get to Tatooine or Dantooine or any of the following areas and they were so small.
If they had kept it in Taris size both quest and greographical, then it would have been much better.
I played it over a weekend - way to short and way to easy. Only game I've played that was shorter was Max Payne. (and yes - I call myself a gamer )

HAHA! Well, I'm sure if I played like regular people do, it probably wouldn't have taken me as long. See, Splinter Cell is the perfect game for me... Because before I do ANYTHING, I have to scale the place, kill any enemy that is inside, take everything I can, and make sure everything is perfect before I go. And lot's of times in KotOR, I just run around with my companions to make them talk to each other. My favorite is when Bastile trips Mission... Oh yeah. But anyways, the sad thing is, I still haven't done everything in the game, I'm sure. I'm just one of those people who go through games slowly, because I don't want to miss anything. And it doesn't bother me that it takes me weeks (maybe even months) to beat a game, I'm fine with that. But people hate watching me play, and that's fine with me.

Well - I don't rush through games either, if that is what you think, but I rarely just stand around for things to happen.
I did fly to a fro a few planets to trigger some party quests, but that dosen't take long.
(OT: Spilter Cell rocked - have only played the original, but that was great)

The second one is better.
(Splinter Cell)
And yes... I also did some flying to and fro between planets, but I tried to avoid that, because I absolutely abhore that little "shoot the incoming fighters!" game. AH! KILL IT!

I don't care how long the game is, or how difficult the enemies are. I want more than 20 level ups. Make the force powers weaker and give me more force powers and more force points. I'm also into the gimmickie way of beating foes. Attacking head on not work? Make the ceiling fall in there heads. Can't pass a wall of Ice? Melt it. Gimmicks are always good. I enjoyed hacking computers and frying the guys in the room next door.

I also always have to explore every inch of every place and kill everything that moves and finish every quest, but the first time I played (I missed only a couple quests) it took me about 28 hours. Somehow, that time seems to be my average, because in every game since, it takes me about 28 hours to finish the game. Only one time did I take longer (33 hours before I even made it to the Unknown World, and I still don't know how I managed that; I blame the Genoharadan quest), but it was due to excessive travelling back and forth from planets.
I didn't care much for the swoop racing, and I hated Pazaak; I wasn't bad, but I wasn't good either (somehow, if I went into a game and played a few hands, I would come out of the session with a net change of 0 credits, every time). Swoop racing for me was easy; I rarely ever had to do a tier over. The one thing I would like to see, and I mentioned this in another thread, would be more dueling. It would just be a bit more interesting, cuz you know swoop racing and pazaak don't give you experience, just credits.
Having every planet be as "big" as Taris was would probably be very time-consuming, but I don't disagree. It doesn't seem realistic to me to have a whole planet to explore and be stuck with only 3-4 small areas. Like Kashyyyk; you know the Shadowlands stretch on forever, so why not jump over a fallen tree and take a look? However, people probably wouldn't want too many mini-quests bogging up the game and detracting from the big, overall mission. If you had as many quests on every planet as you did on Taris, it'd probably get a bit boring (and probably repetitive; programmers aren't exactly the most creative bunch).
