Giovanni Mansion Family Issues... SPOILER

Post by Confuzzled »

I've made it inside the mansion with no problems by the social route, but whichever dialogue options I take, I can't seem to crack any of the family members. I'm on persuasion 7 and seduction 6/7 (can't quite remember at present). In any event, I can get he persuasion option with the Investment Banker, but none of the dialogue seems to get me anywhere, and the other two family members are dead ends with no special options at all, or anything coming of the normal dialogue. The only success I've had is with the woman in white, using persuasion to get into the library.

Any suggestions?

If memory serves, your persuasion isn't high enough. I believe you need either an 8 or 9 to learn their dirty secrets. I know it requires very high levels. I'm not sure if seduction is any good at all in this situation, either. You're not missing that much, quite frankly. The experience and monetary reward is fairly small.

My Toreador has Seduction 6 and Persuasion 8 and I got Persuasion options only on Nadia and Adam, none on Mira or Christopher if that helps.

I'm pretty certain one family members operates on 8 (investment banker), the other two operate on 9 persuasion (they have much darker secrets). I don't think seduction works on any of them.

When dealing with the historian guest (I'm blanking on her name), she requires a much lower persuasion or seduction rating.

Thanks for all that. Certainly for the rewards it's not worth the effort with the amount of experience I would need to use to get the relevant stats. Oh well, guess I'll save that for another time.

When I started to go into this quest I thot I could learn everyones secrets and tell both of them to the other person and get rewards for each. but once I learned everyones secrets and told a person the other two wouldn't talk to me. So can I only help one person, or can I help all of them and get all six exp points?

Spoiler

Blacked out for your lack of edification, assuming you don't want to be (edified, that is):

Having just done this one again, it's Persuasion 7 to be get the Rosselini's invitations, 8 for the investment banker, and 9 for the other two. Get the HIV and banker secrets, as well as Adam's (he's not a real Giovanni), Tell Adam about the other two, and you get maximum XP along with a guided tour to the catacombs if you so desire. Get all secrets first, *then* tell Adam

So max exp for this is 3? I thot I would be able to tell adam(the banker) chris and maira's secrets for 2 exp and then tell maira (girl in red) adams and chris's for 2 exp and then tell chris(maira's cousin) maira and adam's for 2 then get an extra for tell all of them each others.

O two other things, first im rping this game so when dealing with the Giovanni a group more tight than the Tremere what course of action should I take im going to either get in and kill every last person so that know one that saw me knows I did it or sneak in and get my **** done and get out with out being seen.

and second and this really made me mad, I got nidia down in the cats and sucked her dry, because I was like " one less I don't have to pass my sword through" cause it really is hard to kill all the people in that room before they all run away into nothingness, but anyways when I got back up there she was standing where she was before......very much alive.

Houston, please watch the language. Check out the forum rules. We're in the US, the nation that can't dance because its got two right feet, and we don't need any complaints to our nervous host to get us kicked off. I know, silly stuff to get you removed...but it's been happening.

You can max XP for only one path.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you need 9 persuasion for Christopher, 8 for the investor and for Maria, you need 8 persuasion AND 8 seduction (and male).

It's best to have about 9 in both seduction and persuasion before getting to the Giovanni Mansion. Otherwise you may be stuck in the conversation threads.
