I was unable to play a multiplayer game with a saved characther. On the other hand after playing a multiplayer game (in LAN) all the upgrades performed in the character are lost and I have to starte again with a character level 1.
Any idea about how to solve this issue?
Thanks.
Problems with multiplayer games
Im playing LAN with my brother too
Yup, I'm sorry to tell you but it isn't possible to load a earlier saved character... well, you can always load the last made character but it will always start level one when you start a multiplayer game... but though, everytime you save the game your character will be saved too so when you load the game next time you will be able to continue with the same character whe you saved the game... but you can't switch characters without stats, skills and rankings will be lost.
Sugestion for you:
Once you're allready trough fargrove your way to arindale you could train your character there... but if I were you I should start over (with your old character or a new one) so you won't lose any quest lines or you shouldn't play Lan/internet...
What you should not:
(I tried to switch characters once me and my brother where near Arindale... I started with a lvl 1 but I didn't mind to train a lil bit harder.. but we also lost our letters and the horn You should retrieve to arindale so I do not suggest to switch characters during a game...
I hope this information can help you a bit,
Jelle

Actually, this is indeed possible. I've been using a trick between two computers to swap items to one character and it involves putting my fully leveled character on the opposite machine each time I do it. Here's how I do it:
- Host a multiplayer game and load the savegame containing the character you want to save locally.
- Join the game with another computer on the LAN (I imagine this works for the internet too).
- When selecting which character to use, make sure you choose the character you want to locally save with the client computer you joined the hosted game with. This will force the character's stats and equipment to be locally saved once the game loads up.
- Start the game, using a level 1 or otherwise unimportant character on the hosting machine.
- As soon as the game loads, quit the game on the hosted computer. This will close the session on the client computer, but not before saving the character locally.
- Start a new game, load a savegame, or whatever you want to do on the second computer. You'll be able to choose the built up character with full stats, heraldry, equipment, and everything.
- If you want to bring the same character back to the original computer, repeat the trick by starting a new game on the second computer and creating a new savegame with the built up character in it. Now just use the second computer as the host and the original computer as the client.
Hope that helps!

Yes, the game will recognize your character with all their statistics and equipment if you do this procedure correctly. I've done this on several occasions to get my character several different items I'm lacking from one chest. This is merely for the equipment database, since I've already beaten the game.
