Recommended Module's

Post by Siberys »

Alrighty, now I've beaten the 3 first campaigns for NWN (NWN, HotU, SoU), and I am curious what kind of mods there are that you personally would recommend.

I'm downloading the CEP Mod right now, so that's covered. Now, what actual campaigns are there custom made?

Oooh, gosh. There's so many I could recommend... :p

A Hunt Through the Dark is from a drow perspective, you act as a member of a drow expedition, go through power struggles, kill good folk etc.

On the other side of the coin there is the Paladin trilogy (Midnight, Twilight and Dawn [not sure if Dawn is out yet]) where you start with a challenging Paladin initiation, face trials of faith and battle demonic and undead foes.

A Harper's Tale also has a very good storyline and some links to the 'Spellfire' areas of Forgotten Realms.

My personal favourite modules are the ones designed by Adam Miller - the Shadowlords, Dreamcatcher and Demon series'. Those have some of the best storylines and effects to be found in NWN. As good as, if not better than the Bioware content. :)
Though some of it may appear a little dated now as some of it is a couple of years old by now.

I usually download the modules from the NWVault Module Hall of Fame website.

There's probably more modules I can suggest at some point, once I remember them. :p

Hope you enjoy it...

Okay, some more modules:
Honour Among Thieves - This is the best Rogue module I've seen, it really tests all of the classes' abilities. No brute force solutions to be found here... :p

Return to Ravenloft - I can't remember too much about this module, but I think it is one worth looking at.

Sands of Fate - Shadows over Heliopolis - I haven't tried this one, but it is for very high level characters that have completed HotU. Thought that might interest some people...

A Hunt Through The Dark - As described in my previous post

Tradegy in Tragidor

Twilight - First module of the Paladin series described in my earlier post

Eye of the Beholder - A very good and quite big adaptation of EotB

Cormyrean Nights

Blackguard - A nice module from the persspective of the prospective Blackguard.

That should be about it... :D
