Need help..Char's not Leveling Up

Post by kcor77 »

OK... I have six Characters in my perty, My main guy, Minsc, Jaheira, Aerie, Nalia, And Imoen. Problem is I just started chapter six and I happened to notice that my Characters are at the same level and experiance points they were at in Chapter Five. Now this is my first time playing Shadows of Amn and I am not going to use cheats, but I need help to fix this. I didn't notice this earlier because I was trying to get the heck outta Ust Natha. Now the weird thing is that Imoen is the only one gaining Exp. But when she gains it, she only gets the usuall amount of one / sixth exp. So where are the other points going? When I got the 785000 quest points from the silver dragon, she was the only one to benefit from it. Here's the list from my char's:
Me - Fighter -lv.13 - 1475000 - Theif -lv.16 - 1475000
Minsc - Ranger -lv.17 - 2950000
Aerie - Cleric -lv.14 - 1475000 - Mage -lv.13 - 1475000
Nalia - Mage -lv.17 - 2945000
Jaheira - Fighter -lv.13 - 1475000 - Druid -lv.13 - 1475000
Imoen - Mage -lv.14 - 1839449

I am currently sharing the game with my roomate and , where I have a total of 2 save files , he has a total of 94. That's not including the quick and auto saves. He has no problems with cheating in his game but I am wondering if something he did affected all the games. Or maybe it's something I did. If anyone can help,me please do so, I want to get more levels going quick.

Thanx

You hit the XP-Cap of 2950000 ;)
All characters will stop to gain experience once they hit 2950000 XP (or 1475000/1475000 for multi classes).
This was done to prevent your characters from becoming to powerful and making the game to easy.
The only way around this is to iinstall a XP-Cap remover (you can find one here or install the AddOn Throne of Bhaal, which extends the XP-Cap to 8000000.
There are three kinds of people that no one understands: geniuses, madmen and guys that mumble.
