Tybbs, dear friend, you are slow :D :D :D . No no...what I said was:

Well, hello all...I am back, and once again refusing to occupy other taverns
Actually 'all' consist of me, Dottie, some vaguely scandinavian sounding username, occassionally Fable, and CE on stealth mode, not fooling anybody

I was greeting everybody who was present on the board.

Then you said:

What? Im not included?

Indicating that you were perturbed at not having been recognized as one of the members logged onto the forum (i.e. the 'all' I was greeting earlier.)

I then said:

note to future readers: At 37 minutes past midnight, on a friday night at the end of August 2002, Tybaltus was logged onto this forum

This was meant to make the point that at any point in the future, it will really be meaningless to readers of this thread who was online and who was not...

There you go, a simple conversation made complicated :) .

BTW - Actually I think you logged on just as I was typing, so were unfairly discluded from my list of people present on the board :) .

Ah I understand......I think I was online, just browsing a different forum, as I have a tendency to be going back and forth between Morrowind, SYM, and the Main Index of the forums. So I bet I was logged, but I just wasnt in SYM at that very time. Who would have thought a simple welcome back and hello would become so complicated, eh? :D

Greetings Nippy.
Indeed-the last thing I need is to get confused on a hello or goodbye again :D
I havent posted in the Dwarven throwers debate, mainly because I hardly care about the subject at all. What is your general opinion? (Im feeling quite lazy at the moment and dont really feel like reading back to find out :o :D )

Very nice, thank you. I've been chilling, then met some friends for dinner. It's slightly less hot today, which is also nice.

What have you been doing?

Well while it seems like Ive done nothing today, Ive actually:
1) Activated my new cell phone that my parents insist I have-though I hate the thing

2) Ive also learned how to use my new laptop, teaching myself, of coarse.

3) My parents have been down eachothers throats and Im trying my hardest at ignoring their blasted bickering and yelling

4) On top of all of that I have been on SYM for a very quiet 5 hours here.

In other words-this has been a craptastic day.....

@Doesn't sound too great :( I hope your parents manage to solve their conflict soon, it's not funny when other people fight.

The good thing is you have a new laptop :) I would need one too, this one is falling apart :D

It's often quite here on weekend nights...many people are out or with their families, and many SYMers also post only from work or school.

Thanks for caring :) My parents do this WAY too often and it sickens me. :(

What brand of laptop do you have? I just hate the mouse that comes with the thing, so I decided to buy an attachable mouse.

I know its usually quiet on the weekends. If I can get my wireless network setup, Im sure I will log on during school, or Ill just show up during free blocks or lunch during here at SYM. As far as my friends, Im starting to lose contact with many of my high school buddies of this vacation. I havent talked to 5 of my best friends-including one that Ive had since 1st grade, since graduation. The few that I have kept contact with-they are either injured, too busy with work, or concentrating too hard on the up coming college year-so that leaves me not a whole lot to do....but I dont mind spending my time here. :)

Sigh - it's not funny to live with parents who fight a lot :(

My laptop is Sony Vaio, I need a very small and light one since I bring it to the lab, to conferences, meetings etc. all the time. It's 2.5 years old now, and well used :D I have a touchpad, I love that, I never use an external mouse other than for games (yes, I actually used to play games on this one, now we have a gaming computer as well). What is yours and what kind of mouse is it?

Yes, same here, most of my friends took later holidays than I did, so they went away just when I came home...almost all of them came back last week though.

So when does school start again?

My school requires a laptop in order to take classes-but they have requirements for every laptop-I really wanted a Dell or Sony, but the requirements were only fulfilled with a Compaq or a Gateway. I decided that since my dad already got a Gateway and it is bad, I went with a Compaq, reluctantly. The external mouse is an optical mouse, Im still trying to figure out where to hitch it up :o :D I just recently installed Diablo II and the expansion so I can play multiplayer with my brother. I have a lot to learn about my computer, though, as I am not exactly adept with computers- I told Tam and BS a story about my computer ineptness in the DF tavern-Ill go copy that and bring the story over here.

School starts Sept. 3rd for us in the states. Thats the day after a holiday. However, orientation is on Tuesday. That day, I wont show up here at SYM probably until 7:30-8:00 PM, local time. Im am still nervous, cause I have no idea what to expect.

 Why was that? What were the requirements?

I am happy to hear you are a fellow Diablo II fan :D As you perhaps know, I love the game, I've spent more hours on Diablo than on the entire BG-series...to many peoples horror! :D I used to play multiplayer with my hubby, or on Bnet. What class do you play?

It's not long to Sep 3rd, it's going to be exciting...a good thing is that one always meet interesting new people in college or at university :)

I dont remember the requirements.... :o :D Why? I think its more for a convenience for the school and student-they can give us software, and wont have to drag the class to a local computer lab.

Well it shouldnt be a surprise for me to say that my favorite class in DII is the druid from the expansion. After him I like the Necromancer. I am a big fan of minions in all games, it seems. I dont like to fight alone. :D What is your favorite class? And what act do you like the best of the 5 (5 if you have the expansion-do you have the expansion?)

I have no idea how social Ill be in college. I think I was lucky in high school to be as popular as I was, as I tend to be passive and only engage in conversation if the person is nearby. However I tend not to back away from people, so Im not socially inept, which is good :D .

BTW-As I said before Im going to bring my computer ineptness story over here soon :D

Heres the story I told Tam and BS in the DF Tavern:

Im only an amateur about computers. As Ive said before, I basically guess and check and learn that way through computers. I think I busted a Mac at my school by guessing and checking. When I saw the screen turn to only shades of blue, I basically slowly backed away from the computer and stayed silent. 2 days later I saw that computer had an "Out of Order" sign on that. I laughed inside, but I never told any teacher at school that I did that.

:D

Truthfully, its been a lonily day, so I guess you can say that :)

Well if you read back a bit on this thread where I compose a list of what my day has been like, you will realize why. Mainly fighting parents and me trying to avoid it. Its a real headache. Im daring not to leave this room.
