Just came back...

...from a class that wasn't mine.

My co-teacher came to our room and sat in front of her table crying...

...she just came from the same class I just taught a period ago. She complained about the class' general behaviour. This class was behaving that way during my time but I kept my cool... however, enough is enough.

To cut the story short, I went to that class and gave them some strong words and points to ponder on regarding what the hell they really wanted to happen in their life.

Can't remember much of all those fiery (yet acceptable) words but I do remember this:

"If you are stupid then you are stupid because you made yourself stupid."

Grrrrr....

Sounds like another day at the office....*sigh*

Well one thing that often works is to threaten them to kick them out of class for the day if they are acting up. I found it surprising how many rowdy students decided to behave when they realized they wouldnt be in the class for the day. Even if he said there wouldnt be a penalty if they left, they still stayed. I think that shows how dedicated, if not rowdy, students can be to a given class...of course you get your occational person who does leave when given the option. As much as I hate to admit it, sometimes I would leave if that option was given to me *cough*physics*cough* :D

But generally students are very respectful and honor the teacher, just rowdyness is natural in some students, and sometimes it overpowers the right ideas or gets out of control...

Ill bite ye head off.

Unlike previous animals that Ive had, this one is capable of defending itself, as it isnt really all that edible, is a meat eater, itself, and cannot be considered roadkill. :D
