JAHEIRA
Gender: Female
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Fighter/Druid
Alignment: True Neutral
Abilities: STR 15, DEX 14, CON 17, INT 10, WIS 14, CHA 15

A. Overall Abilities: 3+2+4+2+2+3= 16 (16/30)
B. Class Abilities: 3+2+4= 9/15 (fighter), 3+2+4+2= 11/20 (druid), 17.25/30 (overall)
C. Fun to play: 14 (14/20)
D. Gameplay: 12 (12/15)
E. Related quest: 5 (5/5) - Investigate Nashkel Mines
F. TOTAL MARK: 64.25%

Comments: I find that Jaheira's mark is all in all a bit high. On the fighter side, her strength and dexterity are certainly nothing to write home about. Only her constitution seems to be very good. Even so, she does hold her ground during a fight and is certainly not the first one to fall(probably due to a good amount of HPs). As a druid, she is rather mediocre with a wisdom of 14. She also doesn't have access to a lot of good cleric spells like Chant, Silence 15" radius, Hold Person and Animated Dead, which really doesn't do her any good. On the personal side, she is a really bossy person and it seems like she always wants to take the command of the group. Her only positive side is that she is strongly related to the story(she is one of Gorion's friends and a Harper) and you can also find her in Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn. All in all, I wouldn't keep her along for too long, but it is really up to you to decide if you like Jaheira or not.

SKIE (SILVERSHIELD)
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Class: Thief
Alignment: True Neutral
Abilities: STR 11, DEX 18, CON 15, INT 15, WIS 8, CHA 13

A. Overall Abilities: 2+5+3+3+1+2= 16 (16/30)
B. Class Abilities: 5+3= 8/10 (24/30)
C. Fun to play: 14 (14/20)
D. Gameplay: 11 (11/15)
E. Related quest: 0 (0/5)
F. TOTAL MARK: 65%

Comments: Skie has some very decent abilities, especially since she is a thief. She has an excellent dexterity and a good constitution. Her strength is certainly not great, but it is OK since she is a thief. She can also be dualed to a mage since she has a good intelligence. Skie has 2 major weakness, however. First, her thieving skills are too spread around, making her average in everything but not good enough in anything. She will also join your party only if Eldoth is with you, and from personal experience I can tell you that he usually isn't, even if you play with an evil-aligned party. Also note that Skie is a spoiled child who gets annoying at times. All in all, she is an average NPC. Imoen is a better thief, though.

GARRICK
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Class: Bard
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Abilities: STR 14, DEX 16, CON 9, INT 13, WIS 14, CHA 15

A. Overall Abilities: 2+3+1+2+2+3= 13 (13/30)
B. Class Abilities: 3+1+2+3= 9 (9/20 = 13.5/30)
C. Fun to play: 15 (15/20)
D. Gameplay: 11 (11/15)
E. Related quest: 5 (5/5) - Silke's Bodyguards
F. TOTAL MARK: 57.5%

Comments: While Garrick's abilities are too spread out to make him an overall good NPC, he doesn't have any major flaws but his low constitution, which means that he gets few HPs(being a bard certainly doesn't help either). He is all in all a good back-up fighter, he can cast mage spells and his lore makes him worth keeping in your party. He also joins your party early in the game and is a charming character with a nice voice, making him nice to have around. He certainly brings more life into a party. Even like that, bards are usually not fitting too well into the party since they are not essential, while priests and wizards are. He also gets no exceptional ability, making him an ordinary NPC. I find that he is not worth keeping in your party, but having him certainly adds more life to it. He also spares you huge identifying costs, especially later in the game(count all the 100 gp./item you have paid in the game and you'll see…). He can also back-up your main fighters and your mage, which certainly helps. It is really up to you to decide if you want him or not.

QUAYLE:
Gender: Male
Race: Gnome
Class: Cleric/Illusionist
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Abilities: STR 8, DEX 15, CON 11, INT 17, WIS 10, CHA 6

A. Overall Abilities: 1+3+2+4+2+1= 13 (13/30)
B. Class Abilities: 1+3+2+2= 8/20 (cleric), 3+2+4= 9/15 (fighter), 15/30 (overall)
C. Fun to play: 10 (10/20)
D. Gameplay: 12 (12/15)
E. Realted quest: 0 (0/5)
F. TOTAL MARK: 50%

Comments: Quayle is certainly not a great NPC to have in your party. He is egocentric, annoying and thinks that he's smarter than he really is. He is a really bad cleric with his wisdom of 11, but he is a descent mage with an intelligence of 17. His other stats are quite bad, except for his dexterity which is average. Quayle doesn't really bring anything of interest to your party and is annoying to have around. He also comes in late in the game, so you should do yourself a favor and avoid him, except if you're in an urgent need for a mage.
