Im having a particularly hard time opening the chest in helm's hold basement, i've survived the actual trap but i can't open it. I've tried knock, fireball, ice storm lol is there a key somewhere for it?

Sorry if these questions are repetative or redundant. But i was hoping someone could answer them for me.

1. When i summon a familiar or creature, does it gain XP when our party defeats something?
2. What is the point of gems like Flourspar and Alexandrite?
3. What is the point of ale?

Hmm, ok Thanks. I think i'll just try a single class for now, then in the expansions get a little more complex ^^

I was hoping that maybe one of you guys could answer me a few questions.
1. If i made an elf-druid, what henchmen would be best to go along with it?
2. Are single class characters weaker than multiclass characters?
3. What combinations of classes are good? Like a Ranger/Rouge so he gets critcal hit ...

I think Grimgnaw is the most powerful Henchmen in the Original NWN. When I used to play he would usually kill half of the people around me before I even got a chance to attack. He's really powerful and I don't even think any of the other henchmen can compare to him.
