No, it's not that. It's definitely not paused.
I've done that a few times, so I tried pausing, and unpausing again. I tried resting, and trying again. I've tried shutting down the program and starting it again.

Okay.. I've been playing this for couple days, got to chapter 2, and saved it last night.
