I've asked before about a patch that will make the game work without any response and the problem continues.

I can not even start a game because I am unable to name my character, which means the game won't proceed to the intro phase.

Is there a way to solve this problem?

I'm still looking for the patch.

And the patch or patches needed?

Both Patches Scrolls and GameFront.

Currently using Norton and Malware.

I'm not sure if I need the official patch(1.2) or one of the unofficial ones, all I know is that my security systems go absolutely crazy whenever I go near the sites offering any of the above patches and block the download.

Help?

Error messages every time I quit the game and now I can't loot dead opponents. I thought patch 2 was supposed to solve this. Anyone have any ideas?

So I was advised that patch 3 would resolve the problem of looting dead opponents. Instead I now can't start the game at all. So now I'll have to ...

Just installed the game and patch 2 and I also disabled the autosave as advised in this forum but every time I quit the game I am informed that there has been a problem and would I like to to notify the manufacturer.

Anyone else have this problem and, if so, how did you get around it?

Irritating because I wanted to thank Corylea for her second half of the Medical Problems adventure and now I can't since she doesn't take email at her own page.

As I'm sure many of you already know the more subtle methods of getting through the Cathedral require that you travel without any companions, even Dogmeat.

Fully patched, no flaws noted.

Have been unable to find Theresa in Vault 13 and was wondering if this was a glitch previously encountered by other players.

You'll notice that even at this late date I'm trying not to give anything away, should someone be playing for the first time.

What are overrides? I'm guessing you don't mean the patches.

Update: It's the magic circle of protection that is the problem but I can't seem to bring it down by leaving the area, casting dispel magic, sleeping multiple periods, etc.

He vanishes every time I summon him before I can ask questions or do any business with him, probably due to the circle of...something going around my PC.

I cannot cause the spell circle to go away by keeping the henchmen at the far side of the room nor dropping any/all of my equipped gear nor ...

Did not have the problem in Chapter 1 at all and am not sure when it started with Nathyra and Valen, especially Nathyra, just that when I was facing the first major boss encounter I suddenly noticed one of henchmen was busy day dreaming during the battle. Not sure how to enable/disable the AI but I ...

So no one has encountered this problem before or no one has any idea how to fix a potentially disastrous glitch in the game?

What upgrades would you prefer from Rizolvir if you could afford whichever you wanted for a single weapon?

Also, if you were carrying Enserric, which upgrades would you prefer for that blade?

Another bizarre glitch. I put some items on the ground in the starting area for Chapter 2, intending to go through my extra items before the chapter was ended, but now someone is standing over those items and, alone among all the people in the place, will not move when I walk towards/over her.
