Solution at last! It must have been a glitch in the game, but I was able to resolve it. I fought the three Sith soldiers in order to get the armor off them as opposed to going to the cantina and hitting on that Sith chick. I don't think it should matter, but I suppose it did for some reason. Anyways ...

Yeah, I play PC. After the initial 10+ hours trying to figure out the problem, that's the only thing that I think could possibly explain it. I've tried re-installing, but that didn't work. I suppose I'll wait to see what fable said. Maybe I can take it back and exchange it for a different one. But ...

No, I wasn't even able to get the security papers. I walked into the room and no one was around. In all the FAQs it says "Talk to Gadon behind the desk" and he wasn't there.

I am not able to talk to Gadon. I have checked every FAQ/Walkthrough/Guide etc. and have done exactly what I needed to do. ie, gained entrance to lower city, etc. I can get into the Hidden Beks base, but when I go in, there are no Hidden Beks around, and Gadon is down the elevator in his quarters ...
