Excuse me, but I believe I stated it incorrectly. I MEANT memorization of spells (as nephtu said). So don't be QUITE so quick to shoot down my theory.

Sorcerer. Sorcerers require NO spell prep, except for the occasional contigency/spell sequencer. And they are supergood at...EVERYTHING!
Of course, all the classes can be pretty good. But in my not-so-humble opinion, sorcerer is the way to go!

Wizards gain spells more quickly, but scrolls can be very hard to find.

Thanks. I think either I'm doing something wrong, or I'm confused. Or both! Because I push levers, but nothing happens. I have "Mode Activated", "Inner Sanctum" or "Temple Maintenence", and "Battle Square" selected and nothing happens. How do I select a square? Thanks again!

How do you get Oria's game room to work? I've tried what the walkthrough says and it just doesn't work. Help would (obviously) be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
