The biggest problem with muchakins isn't the munchakin himself, but the fact that you have to put so much attention onto him to make sure he doesn't disrupt the game. This takes too much from the other players who don't appreciate being treated like dust, or left in the corner with no functionality ...

My solution

I had a similar problem a while back, and tried everything I could to make it work. I made the campaign as free-formed as possible and allowed them to control the game, hopefully each would find out what they wanted. This didn't work, the lack of direction and the more leniency I gave ...

I like to add a lot of realism to my campaigns, but the HP system makes that a little difficult.
