You return to the Asylum after completing a number of quests in the dungeon. There is some loot, but nothing very special.

Fierkrag gets my vote. Avalon the silver dragon may be harder, but being of good character I have never fought her.

How high is your reputation? This may have something to do with it (guess on my part).

Skalds are good characters, as also are druids. I found the animal summoning spells very useful. If you have the ring of Gaxx, your druid/cleric is not needed for healing spells so much and can concentrate on ...

I recollect speaking to someone who gave directions to speak to Ribald (but can't remember who). Perhaps this is necessary to "activate" Ribald.

Did you return the head to the Djinni's in Trademeet? If they are still there you cannot get anything from the merchants.

I have been through the barracks. If you talk to the people there they make you unwelcome, but you can still rob from the chests etc in the area. It is unrelated to any quests AFAIK. The thief is news to me.

Not as far as I can tell. My first time through I went to Brynnlaw early. When I re-emerged I was able to go to Windspear, deliver acorns etc. along with other quests given early in the game.

I had no particular problems with Balor. A couple of summoned skeletons and two fighters - other characters using magic (and one with a sling of Everard) killed him reasonably easily.

Meeting the Mayor definitely gets the quest. Talk to the Djinni in the tents outside the city before you set off.

Swashbuckler is like having an extra fighter who is also a skilled thief. Provided you can do without backstab, this IMO is the best of the "thief" classes.

Having beaten him above ground, you follow him to Hell and fight him again - this time it's final.

Two opposing families will both seek you out to retrieve an item for the crypt. You can give it to either one or to a neutral character (with differing results). Nice smiley, Osiris.

Welcome Jenna. You can export your characters and use multiplayer to restart them near the beginning of the game if you want. There's no way to continue on from Final Save however.
