I have the platinum edition, have updated to most recent patch....every time i start the original game, when i try to go from barracks to the next room at the very beginning of the game, the game shuts down. Just flickers and takes me back to the desktop, no error message.

turning undead

A couple of things....

Turn undead works more effectively at higher levels (well, duh, that's the whole concept of AD&D, you level up, you get more powerful, right?)

With that in mind, a couple of thoughts:

NO level 2 spells??

Dynaheir has NO level 2 spells?

Do you know how to scribe them? right click on the spell and then choose "write magic" ?? You can't have them in your spellbook until you've copied the scrolls.
