What my question really was how do I use the key? How do I use the air elemental statue? Do I put in on the ground? I know I cant double click it, or put it in my quick items or any of my hand inventorys?
I am lost here obviously

Aye, indeed i have both wand keys and the air elemental statue. I was at the portal in the room/area marked with a # 13 on the walkthru maps provided on this site. I was trying to go thru the portal that is the the north of the bedroom north of the Dyrads. Not the bedroom south western of the Dyrads ...
