Yes, I tried it. I passed around the ring of regeneration, so that everybody was at maximum HP - to no avail. I spent some time on the Troubleshooting Forum at Bioware's, and it turns out that a lot of people experienced this particular problem. Deleting most of the old savegames as well as the ...

Well, I only used Shadow Keeper to remove the three *** I'd put in Bastard Swords (silly me) and invest them in Long Swords. Apart from that, no cheats or mods whatsoever.
Also, I realised later that the game started to freeze while resting even without Keldorn in the party. Oh well... Maybe it's ...

Thanks for your info...
Concerning the dual-classing-aspect, now; I never used that for my PC before, so I'm not sure at which point it makes sense to do it. For example, if you start as a fighter, and wait till the 15th level or so to dual-class to mage (for instance), I guess the game will be over ...

Monks

I heard a lot of people think that the Monk is the best class for the PC - to the point that it gets boring after level 15 or so. I was thinking about starting the game again with that class, but I'd like to know how it's impossible to stay alive as a Monk, given that it's impossible to wear any ...

I tinkered a bit with my party composition, and I found out that Keldorn was the one that caused the problem. The crash occurs only when he's with me; besides him, I have Minsc, Aerie, Jaheira and Jan. And I have no idea why having Keldorn messes everything up. So, again, any input on this would be ...

Ok, I deleted the old "baldur"-keys in the registry and reinstalled, but it's still not working. If there is a way to deactivate the cutscenes, perhaps that could fix things, but I didn't see where one could do that. Otherwise, looks like there is no other options than to return to the real world...

No I didn't. I figured the uninstall program would do things right. Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try.

As I said, I just reinstalled the game, and the result was the same. Disabling the cinematics may solve the problem (although I don't know how there could possibly be a problem, since I reinstalled the whole thing today), but I looked everywhere in the Config program without finding the option...

That's what I did. The game still freezes - and good; there's nothing to do but to restart the PC with the reboot button. I guess something interferes with the next dream/cutscene, but I've no idea what...

Yup, I thought about that too, especially cause it's been a long time since I didn't have any of these. But that still leaves me pretty much screwed, as I don't have any clue about what to do to solve this...

Problem with resting

Hi,

Well, I'm kind of stuck... Each time I try to rest (in an inn or somewhere outside) the game freezes. I installed the latest patch, but it still doesn't work. So if someone has an idea, it would really help me out. I mean it was fun to travel through the Underdark and its 3 dungeons without ...
