in the main hall of temple there is a door in the north east corner, i opened them with knock spell and they doesn't seem to lead anywhere. There is no icon you can click on, after i opened them.

Is this broken, bugged, unfinished or is it just my game missing something?

i red there is a mod that lets yuou level up NPC's in your party.
anyone knows where i could get it from?

if you saw that ladder once and now its gone, than i am afraid you encountered a bug in the game.

It happened to me once, as well. I was in a small spider area with one entrance/exit only and after i slept or reloaded (donno which) the ladder icon was gone! I reloaded and everything was fine once ...

you can buy them back, if they are for sale, if not... then not
as for the maul - yes you will need it, if you cant' buy it look for a unofficial patch/mod that adds masterwork things to shops (the file is called TOEE_Co8_200.exe, unfortunately i don't know where i got it from)
