i have found him but it has made the situation much MUCH worse. it is a huge bug. for some reason he is still in the vulgar monkey tavern, and when i talk to him there, the dialogue where desharik (pirate lord) turns up to fight. THIS IS STILL IN THE TAVERN. and then when the dialogue finishes ...
