I don't know about the family part, but the 'world aging with you' was *definitely* part of the hype.

Very much agree - I think a better question for this thread would be 'did you like Fable'?

Because I got it for PC, and had my expectations properly set, I wasn't disappointed. But I find the replayability quite lacking - I played good & evil, which took ~30 hours total, and I can't get into it ...

This is tough ... there are a number of things.

But I think of Monty Python - it was the early 70's and I was 9 and my dad took me to see it at the Art cinema close to us ... probably was a bit much for me at that point, but the lines and scenes have stuck with me since.

I'm all over the most recent NWN Premium Modules - Infinite Dungeons is chugging along, but mostly the excellent Darknes over Daggerford . And I bought and just started the Wyvern Crown of Cormyr module which was a surprise since I though the Premium program was dead. I also finished LEGO Star Wars ...

I would definitely recommend going over to 'LucasForums' - the signal to noise is very good there and there are some great people I've known since the original Jedi Knight days a decade ago ...

I liked Fable, and played it through 1.5 times, but then tried to replay and got bored because it is very linear and limited ... oh, and short.

It is good, but I wouldn't put it in my top 20 RPG's. And it is lacking in the action department to compare to action games like Rune or Blade of Darkness ...

This may sound stupid, but did you go back and re-scry for him? I swore I had the same problem the other day (happen to be replaying now myself), but headed back to the Council of Seven area and did the re-scry and he showed up right where he belonged at the alter.

I'm assuming it is before you've ...

I'm deep into replaying Divie Divinity , which is an absolute blast - I loved it the first time and even more this time! I'm also playing the latest NWN Premium Module Infinite Dungeons and the more recently released Darknes over Daggerford so I've got ...

I recently reinstalled DivDiv on my new Macbook Pro (WinXP partition) and generally like not to use CD's in my laptops, so I tried to grab a no CD. It just plain didn't work - I never got past the test ... I didn't want to use one of those 'virtual disk' things, so I just live with needing the CD in ...

Stuff I just recently finished includes Soldier of Fortune II (PC), Gothic II Gold PC, and The Legend of Heroes II: Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch (PSP)

I've been playing Titan Quest mostly, which has waylayed my latest Gothic 2 Gold run, just as I was starting dragon hunting as a Paladin. I was also playing Soldier of Fortune 2 and Blade of Darkness again but those also have to wait.

For handhelds, I am mostly playing Tao's Adventure on the DS ...
