I don't believe they clear after a level change it is the area change, and that thief Nottle comes and steals it. I left my Miners Sledge along with alot of other stuff in a chest by the Malghi Hi area. When I stopped by Nottles a little later to lighten the load, he had my Sledge!!! Little Punk!!

What is the benefit of going paladin/monk? or paladin/cleric?

1st: Sleep, magic missile, shocking grasp 2nd: bulls str, invisibility, melf's acid arrow 3rd: fireball, lightning bolt, haste 4th: minor invulneability, etc. Chain lightning and cone of cold are probably favorites.
