Getting my saved games won't solve that.

If you have trouble beating the game just ask here and we'll help you out. Once you get the hang of it, the game it's that difficult. Just experiment a little, get a good party and complete a few quests ...

IIRC, the official patch resolves a few problems with that cutscene. Do you have it installed? Also consider installing Platter's Fix Pack: http://www.accesswave.ca/~cthorpe/

Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma are the most important. I tried to find guides about character creation, but couldn't find any. If memory serves, start with a Wisdom of 18 and an Intelligence of 15. That way you get most dialog options. Keep upgrading those two as you level up.

IIRC, there is a way to solve this in the graphics options. There you can tick an option that removes green sprites. Maybe that, or one of the other options you can tick, will solve the problem?

The Icewind Dale soundtrack is *not* available for download. You could use a pogram (IIRC, it's called BMUtoMP3) to transform the BMU files into MP3's, but I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

If you want I could send you some save games, but I will strongly advise you to restart the game instead. Playing with one of my saved games will most assuredly ressult in missing out importent content, valuable information and the like.
