I'm playing through with a paladin and use detect evil a lot before taking on quests. I used it in tiris' home and he detected as evil. Why?

OH god, I have worked for at least 5 hours with every hack I can find to change my ranger's alignment back to chaotic good, but whenever I load up the game and import, (the import screen still says he's chaotic good) he is still nuetral evil. Does anybody know where I can get the shadowkeeper hack for BGII? I made a mistake at the end of the game and when I reimported my ranger I realized he was nuetral evil, and I want to hack him back up to Chaotic good. Can anybody help me?
