Be sure to get the latest patches though! Out of the box, without the updates, is not much fun.

Actually, make SURE you save every arrow you can.. If you are making a dedicated archer type character, then you WILL go through them quickly.

For example, my I had my bard go heavy duty archer.. I.e. rapid shot, AND many shot. Most battles she uses up 20-40 arrows.....

I do wish there was some ...

I Can Loot! (xp+dx9!)

Resident good deed do'er Moebius has found a way to fix the looting bug. I can confirm that looting again works as it should! ( I have XP + Dx9)

I've added this fix to the 3.0.4 Co8 release. Please check it out!

You can find it here!

We've found our first defect with the 3.0.4... It seems there is a bad item reference in the starting Equipment files for fighters. Creating a party that uses fighters will either crash your game, or they will start encombered carrying some "WHITE T" object.

We should have an updated 3.0.4 package ...

The level cap is more of a freebie. It doesn't hurt those that don't make it to ten before finishing, but it helps those that want to finish every quest, and fight ALOT, before finishing.

Plus, it opens up the idea of parties with fewer characters, I.e. with no level cap, you can (Theoretically ...
Yeh, I have had a look at the mod, and there definitely is a start_equipment.mes included. I guess this one is either bugged, or designed to create cheesy starting characters... which it is I don't know.

I'll probably remove it. How does removing a mod impact existing saved games ...

It shouldn't affect anything. For the most part your average mod only touches the text files..

The latest 3.0.4 release however is starting to push into the code..Though and we've started to now have to be more careful..

Steve@Troika was able to identify some that would affect saved games, but I ...

Which did you install first? The co8 patch or the other mod?

What character classes were the ones you saw?

Where can I look at the Vick and Wedge mod.. Are they deploying a startEquipment.mes File?

I'm having a blast.. As far as I know there are NO problems with the included level cap remover, I.e. I have a level 12 wiz/Level 4 Druid making cool items for my Fighter4/Monk10... Spells are scaling properly, as well as game things (resurrection, etc.) I only wish there were the higher level feats ...

Help test Co8 3.0.4 BETA

We've thrown together a BETA patch that has quite a few fixes. Most done by the resident Assembly Guru moebius2778.

Being a BETA patch however, It's not gone through rigorous QA... We're looking for people who are interested in taking a look at it..

Please be sure to read the note about ...

Well, I have PestPatrol Registered, Ad-aware running as a 24 hour cron job, and Norton Internet Security running full-deep scans on the same 24 hour job as well.

I'm currently the buildmaster, so I'd say the files you're getting are vermin free. :)
By the time you're in Nulb, you're usually about mid-way through the level cap at the highest.

Otis is a pretty good bet for getting a lot of non-magical weapons for enchantment. Besides, he seems to be the only person you can get these weapons from.
I'm suprised that Co8 didn't get the idea to add the items in other areas. For instance, they could have Otis sell a few more masterwork weapons, possibly Dwarven Waraxes, Longspears, and/or Rapiers.

I personally am only using the Atari patch 2.0.

This Co8 thing looks like it modifies the original game, and allows you to enhance your character more than was intended. Being a 3rd party patch, you can't be sure what exactly is in it.

Unless someone has a compelling reason to use a ...
