Why does everyone dislike GoldBrand so much? Isn't it possibly the best one-handed weapon in the game? or am i missing something? Spoilers!
It's best attack does 10-50 damage then on top of that it adds 10-30 fire damage (avg 20 fire damage). This not only makes it the best one-handed ...

but low wisdom only affects cleric and druid spell failure... intelligence affects a mage's percent failure. And the reason I raised my charisma to 18 is because if I don't need to use the ring of human influence, I free up a spot for another powerful ring, and there are too many ...

Question about weapons (and monks)
I am new when it comes to this type of game, and I am curious about what a number after a weapon means (for example, dagger+2). From what I noticed, it looked like it added 2 points of damage and a 2 bonus to THACO, but is this what it means? The Staff of the Magi says +1 to damage, and +1 to THACO ...
