Is the "first town" Seyda Neen? If so just go to Balmora and there are A good amount of traders there. If not then keep it on your roof until someone can bye it. Another thing is that there are traders i Mournhold who have a good amount of gold! But that only for the GOTY version.

Yes and no. The only way you can become a Werewolf is to follow the main story wich you can not do as a Vampire.
