Thanks for the help guys... my better half played a game after I did so the auto save had changed... but I will know better next time!

I blew it! Unfortunately I let Coran get killed in the spider's den in cloakwood, and I had every intention on resurrecting him at the Temple. But it wasn't until I after I saved over my game that I realized he had dropped himself from my party!
