Personally I found Diablo 2 far superior to the first part. Especially with the different classes, skill trees, runes and gems. Although the first part had the more intense dungeon crawler feeling. Going deeper and deeper and deeper....

Without TOTSC installed Sarevok has around 100% magic resistance.

If you're playing a solo mage that pretty much requires you to use a "cheesy" tactic. Maybe you could take him on in melee if you have a lot of potions like Potion of Cloud Giant Strength ...

Since ever. I was once a NES/SNES owner myself. Consider this list of older "computer-only-platform" turn-based games:

Sabre team
X-COM series ...

I feel this game is more aimed at the larger population of console action gamers rather than the smaller group of PC RPG gamers. I feel that these two groups are VERY mutual exclusive no matter how desperately developers try to assure us of otherwise.

I'm using large textures. "Shadow slider": indoors halfway, outdoors almost minimum. View distance max + distantant land on. I'm using hdr. Other options = default.
