Post the harshest fights or closest escapes you have ever experienced..

I had one not so long ago where 6 of my characters got locked in a room where 2-5 pit fiends appeared each round. They ended up killing 71 of them

Alternativly you could get a lot of character to plane travel to the plane where the characters souls are, whether at Hel's gate or whatever. The plane of their diety. Destory the planes guardian (Garm, Cerberus) whatever and get the souls back.

Evolving plots and character is always a great thing ...

You could treat it as if the character was under the affect of a trap the soul spell. Players Hand Book. Wizard 8 or 9.. I forget... I believe it's 9th.

Or perhaps detail the sword more so that it collects souls, and for each certain number of souls (10, 30, 60, 100, 150.. for example) the weapon ...

Ahhh indeed but to create a scroll one must go and get special ingredients such as squid ink and various things chosen by the DM & player relating to the scroll. Then the scroll is made in a certain method (I will post an example in a minute). Where as wands and staffs are created by high quality ...

I was plane travelling with my first ever Druid (Terrafarlow) who just so happened to be a psionic when (he was alone) where he just so happened to encounter 28 Mind Flayers (Illithids) Hmmm he took 12 of them out, not bad going but then he was killed..

Luckily, by using the miracle spell he ...

Well if it's going to be more "D&D'ish" then thats fair enough, however I don't see that it will. Although that would improve the game so much, considering level 15 is hard enough to get to. They would have to spread out the Xp awards and the necessary amount to go up levels. If you look in the 1st ...

Surely it will be worth waiting for though, although a level cap of 20 seems a bit stupid, considering it doesn't take long to get to level 20.

If they are using a much improved game engine then I'm gonna have to go out and buy new motherboard, processor, RAM, graphics card.

Psionics would be cool ...

I always the game is as combat orientated as you wan't it to be, to a certain extent.

I was introduced to 1st ed. by my Dad when I was 10, and whenhe started playing that was the only ed. so now that I am used to playing that I find other editions complicated or just way too different.

All with an AC Bonus, and they would all benefit me?

Armour Class Bonus

What items can you have with an armour class bonus that actually increace your armour class, instead of the game saying that items with the same abilities will not stack or whatever.

For instance, cloak, armour, boots, ring or something. Just wondering because I have lots of items of protection for ...
