I'd pre-order a sequel or expansion. VtM: Bloodlines is one of my favorite games (and, I must admit, it's surprising to me that is the case; it was a game I had very moderate expectations for at the time of purchase). I'd love to see a game set in Chicago (the original WoD modules for that city are ...

I've not personally tried them (yet), but I think that the Camarilla Edition and the Final Nights expansion both make significant changes to combat (I know the effectiveness of guns for both NPCs and the player were increased and Disciplines were rebalanced). From what I gather, those are both high ...

I own the first game, but have never gotten around to playing it. I've enjoyed the RPG/Shooter hybrid (Bloodlines, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, etc.), but I'm not normally a big FPS fan. What RPG elements are present in Bioshock? Is it mainly just getting to make some critical choices? Any significant NPC ...

The AW is incredibly powerful. Though - I've got to admit - the class bored me to tears. I basically felt like I was relying solely on auto attack.

It's a matter of personal preference, obviously. Wynn is a very good healer (best in the game, quite frankly), if you don't like Morrigan. So, bring her along as a dedicated healer and you'll be fine.

Rogues are great in DA1. They do great damage (best single target damage if you are maximizing ...

Out of curiosity, why did you find it more fun?

I have a bad habit of starting and restarting (occasionally several times, for a variety of reasons) games. I'm a bit of a perfectionist about things. As a byproduct, I simply don't finish as many as I'd like. Some notable examples:

(1) Mass Effect 2: I actually like the game; I do plan on ...

Yeah, ToB adds two more chapters and a large dungeon to the BG2. It's a very different expansion than ToSC. It's, basically,a third and concluding chapter for the protagonist. It would have been much better if the story had been worked into a new game. But, it's definitely worth playing.

I'm not very familiar with the Sword and Fist mod. You might pose your question on their message boards for fuller clarification.

However, you cannot dual into a kit. You can chose swashbuckler as your starting kit. And, you should be able to dual class to a fighter. However, you will not be able ...

I believe it varies a bit. She will almost always be at least a couple levels behind you.

If your effective party level is than 13, she'll have 400,000 experience points. This means, she'll be level 11 Mage/7 Thief. However, if your character level is higher, she'll have more experience.

The Wookipedia entry was referring to the KoTOR modding community. There are a few mods in existence that aim at restoring "cut content" from KoTOR. I am not very familiar with KoTOR modding. As such, I can offer no commentary as to the quality of these mods. However, check out the editing/modding ...

You can cast in armor. However, every piece of armor has a % failure rate. It should be listed on the armor description. Armored Arcana reduces that failure rate by 5%.

I'd second all of these suggestions. BG and BG2 make great games for two people if you want story-driven games with good combat. IWD, NWN, and IWD2 would serve your specifications well too if you were looking for more combat related RPGs.

What Would You Like to See in the Sequel?

So, the Mass Effect 2 teaser trailer is out. The game has been announced. What would you like to see done differently in the second game?

IWD/IWD2 NPC Projects and Learning to Enjoy These Games

I have a confession to make, I've never successfully made it through a play through of either IWD or IWD2. I own both (and HoW, in fact). Quite frankly, both games were a massive disappointment to me at the time of their respective releases. Essentially, I found the games too focused on combat ...

I wouldn't mind the tweaking of the repair system, i.e. the ability to strip your weapons down to parts and the requirement of specific parts to fix weapons. But, I did like the idea of repair quite a bit. Funds, weapons, and gear are so enormously easy to come by it was nice to feel somewhat ...
