Just thought id post to let you know (if you didnt already),
that if you listen to the in game speech files while not in the game, the game will crash when you reach the part of a converstaion where that file is needed.
This doesn't count for music files so dont worry.
An easy solution to this ...

been bugging me too, cant advance any further cos it crashes to desktop on the loading screen after i jump into the boat.

different location for me though,

massive lag kicked in as soon as i got onboard the 'Elizabeth Dane' it became so bad it simply wasn't playable.
I dont know if its connected but the blood on the deck and walls kept flashing inconsistantly.
Problem stopped when i did a quickload. weird ...

im doing the 'Gargoyle removal service' quest, and i read in the walkthrough on this site that if you talk to the creepy tremere dude in downtown he gives you an artifact to help you beat the gargoyle.
Despite trying every speech option i cant get him to give up the ...
