...apparently there are more than one since the guy has been writing for 15 years...
well, actually there are 7 books in polish: first 2 contain short stories, that are introduction to the saga about the witcher (5 other books). And there's one more book containing a few short stories, but only 2 ...

Of course KOTOR I is much better, but in the sequel I like that influence feature. I dislike Malachor V map... the ending is really poor

I kept attacking the surgeon himself with my main character (as I said earlier), and when it was possible I used powers on him and ONLY on him, maybe my combat mage was higher lvl than your character (when I started playing BW it was 44).

For me it was pretty easy to kill him. I attacked only the surgeon ignoring his summons. Powers were very useful

Well... I thought that your previous armor was increasing your INT, and now that you switched to another, your INT decreased... but if you say you tested it, you must be right... I must say, it's somewhat disturbing...

I found it!

Take the Western Vai'lutra Forest (North) Teleporter, go little to the N and then to the east - there's a dungeon with the bound elf nailed to the door, and that's it. I went there after I dealt with surgeons, because I couldn't open it earlier. Good luck
