I've tried turning the specs thing in that general menu to the 'below recommended' setting, but I'll doing things manually as well. My resolution is set at 1024x768 or something like that I think. I'll change it to 800x600.

My cache is at least 300, I think it's at about 450mb iirc. I tried decreasing it as well, just in case that would fix it, but no such luck.

I've never played BGI, but I'd assume you'd be missing out on the XP for killing the boss.

None of the dialogue options change, but you get the choice of telling him something along the lines of 'hey, didn't I kill you?' All your items will be gone at the beginning of BGII though.

Nonono, it's not the difficulty level that's getting me, it's just choppy. Like when there's animations it goes all slow and choppy. It's never happened before to me, and it's only in ToB that it happens. I tried reinstalling and not putting any mods in but it still does it.

Extreme Choppiness

I was going to play this through again this afternoon, but when I went to go at it, I found absolutely unplayable. I can handle some choppiness, but this was just bad. I hadn't changed any settings since I last played it, haven't installed any new mods, nothing. Also, the SoA part is fine at least ...
