The same happened to me, that door was shut when i returned.

Problem is sometimes when you fight monsters under the door, then press to pick up the goodies it shuts the door as you walk through... and it cannot be opened from the lever side 8-(

What happened i think, was i had a fight in the doorway, and after i pressed 'shift' to pick up the loot(deadmans hair probably LOL), and i think it shut the door as i walked in, therefore locking me inside ...
