There is no "basement" to the hawk, there is a box you can get tho.
on koriban, outside the cantina, is a rodian that worked with davik. Talk to him and he'll ask you to get some spice out of a secret compartment. Get if for him by "talking" to the compartment on the right end of the cargo hold ...
