I did a wish (or tried) about TWELVE times in a row with a 22 wisdom and *never* got it. At the end of another game, I tried it EIGHT times with a 19 wisdom and never got it either. What is your secret?

***SPOILERS***

I have played ToB several times, and I have NEVER been able to refresh with a wish...and believe me I *tried*. Even with a pumped up wisdom, the game refused to give me the option.

I believe that this is a feature and not a bug. In PnP ADnD, if your familiar dies and/or you lose it for any reason, you can NOT get another for a year and a day.

Musashi,

It is a matter of control really. If Viconia thinks that she can control you by sleeping with you, then her alignment will never change.

***SPOILERS***

As I remember she also makes her 'offer' shortly after Saradush is pasted and you slapped her down hard verbally. If you sleep with her ...

AFAIK Greater Restoration scrolls are not available if you have ToB installed. Any greater rest scrolls you may have bought become lesser restoration scrolls. [Considering that G.Restoration now heals the WHOLE darn party I am *not* suprised...]

In SoA play the Romance normally (yes that means you sleep with her several times).

However....**SPOILERS**

Near the end of SoA (after the attack by the Handmistress of Lloth, Viconia almost leaves the group saying that she is too great a liability now that Lloth is looking for her. You CAN ...

User,

You *do* have a +4 to hit bonus if you fire +2 arrows from a +2 bow. However, when it comes down to determining immunities (for those creatures that can only be hit with magical weapons), only the missile bonus counts. Since you are using +2 arrows and Kangaxx needs +4 weapons or better to be ...

Quitch,

Stop being so narrow, and read what I posted. I said that a romance with Imoen would have been realistic. Does any one care to dispute this? After all you DON'T find out *spoiler**

that she is your half-sister until very late in the game. /end spoiler ***

Garcia,

In ToB, how good do you need to be? I have found that the only thing Imoen loses out on are the high level traps. While they are nice, you can live without them. Otherwise, Imoen does just fine.

The only master list I know of is in the Balder's Gate SOA User's Guide (the one that comes with the game) near the back of the list.

*UNFORTUNATELY* is is wrong in several places (it lists Druid/Mage as a possible multiclass for example when it is not available).

Sorry I can't be more help ...

Imoen's a great thief...even in ToB. Just give her the ring of danger-sense and the harper's amulet (found in the fire-giant temple) and she can find and disarm just about any trap (and open just about any lock) in the game.

True her skills aren't as high as a pure thief, but from my own experience ...

I never suggested that Imoen was a possible romance that was dropped. I *do* think that Nalia, Valgyr, and Mazzy were supposed to be romances though.

I *said* that a romance with Imoen would certainly be conceivable (possibly starting in BG1). Obviously Black-Isle didn't want to touch that ...

Manveru,

I happen to be a native english speaker, so I will give it some thought. Having said that, no promises. [I have other demands on my time...or more accurately I soon will.] You should be aware, however, that I am a physicist by education *not* a creative writer. I think you would be better ...

I have not. I tend to be gun shy of using a patch from any source *but* the company. I won't even use beta patches. That might be a tad narrow of me, but (not on this game) I have had a lot of problems before I started following this policy.

User,

There's your problem. If you wait THAT late to dual, then the XP cost becomes prohibative and you might as well have been a multiclass.

Dualing IMO is far more powerful than multiclassing but ONLY if you do it right...and like any great thing, it *does* come with a price tag. The price tage ...

If you want the 'ultimate' spell caster than you are probably right. *I* OTOH like balance. I find that it is *incredibly* useful to be able to bash someone's brains in with a fair chance of sucess when those spells aren't cutting it (or I am running low).

That IMO is what makes the Kensai-Mage ...

Ivan,

I have to disagree. While a sorcercer *can* read from a scroll, I would much rather have that spell available to me whenever I need it. A mage can do that; A sorcer can not. In short, I find that the fact that the sorcerer can only know a few spells at each level to be crippling. If you only ...

Actually Prot from Pet (the spell) *is* useful against beholders (although most Beholders will eventually dispell it), but the potion of mirrored eyes is only good vs Basilisks and Greater Basilisks IMO.

Bhodi is also EVIL. If that suits your protagonist, that is fine, but I always take the shadow thieves. The shadow thieves aren't "good" by any stretch of the imagination, but helping vampires infiltrate a city in unadultrated *evil* (and I do not say that about many things). Also, if you side with ...
