I suggest picking up Minsc, rescuing her, get her killed then pick up Edwin.

I do see that you keep calling her a witch, which I find funny. She is a lawful good character and Edwin is an evil character, and a member of the red wizards. He also makes smart ass comments when your rep goes up ...

you could also be wearing the boots of grounding. that way if you do get hit it is only 50% damage. or cast some kind of summon spell (or wand located in a cave 1 map area east of the carnival) and let the beasties spring the trap.

the hidden ring is removed if you have TotSC installed. Advice - get the ring THEN install the expansion
