I killed the elder, jumped into his alcove, ran over the circle, the column lowered, I jumped to the next alcove, ran over the circle. When I return to the pillars the final one that lowered did not seem to lower enough. I cannot jump to it - I keep falling. Am I missing something...... how to I get ...

he just tells me about the guild of mages, but does not offer to let me join.

I delivered the letter to Lord D. but the magic shop owner will not acknowledge that I did so and allow me join the Guild. I never get the initiation quest. Any Help? Thanks in advance...
