Sidenote: The extra 20% resistance is probably from hell, where you opened the eyes with bhaal's tears. If you are of good alignment, you received 20% acid, fire and cold resistance.

In my oppinion, Planetars are visually better, yet the diffrences are little:

1. The Deva has 19 dex, while the Planetar has only 15, and that means that Planetars have -7 AC, while Devas have -11.

2. Planetars have 3 attacks per round, Devas have 2.

3. Devas regenerate 3 hp every 3 seconds ...

Here's the thing: My fighter has 18 con, and he only gets 3 hp per level, constantly. At level 18 he has only about 130 hp! Why don't I get the 5 hp bonus?!?

Regarding Irenicus' spell defences, you can hit him with either Carsomyr or the Staff of the Magi, which dispell on hit. Other than that, the inquisidor has a really large chance of dispelling his protections as well, if you have one.

Since Boots of Speed count as regular haste, (minus the attack bonus), it is not cumulative with improved haste and it's effects.
