After I finished beating Sacred this year, I bought Sacred 2, which I just finished yesterday on my PC. Both games can be quite linear; however if you do most of the side quests (some are wrong for your good/evil alignment) in each area, you can have a fine time and spend many happy hours on these ...

I'm here today for this very same problem. Being a slow learner, I had it lock-up on me three times before I came here for the answer. I'll try the above solution and see if I can make that work.

Thanks

(I had to get a new computer to play this game; my old Win98 700 mhz just couldn't cut it.)

I know this is too late for the previous posters, but sometimes you can disable the sound from the audio control panel and gain some speed that way. I spent one whole evening cleaning out every container on that floor so it can be done if you are patient.

SPOILER: Don't sit on the thrones or you ...

Thanks, I found it: the hole is east of the Goblin Lair and the Island Entrance is to the NE of the Goblin Lair, if I remember rightly.

I am thinking about returning to the Travellers' for those 15 range bows I sold them. I hate those mechanized double gattling guns and having to charge them with ...

Help! She's fallen and I can't get her up.

I'm at the entrance to the Goblin Lair in the Eastern Swamp, but mustn't yet go down, because one of my archers fell through a hole into a monster infested subterranian ruins near here, below some stones of life-giving and she was killed.

This is my fourth time through the game and this time I can ...

I had pulled both levers the first times I played in easy and normal mode and never noticed the door until I returned after completing the game in normal mode. When I played it in hard mode, I made sure I turned around after pulling the levers.

DS: LOA Disco

Has anyone else found the disco in the goblin's lair on their way to the clock. I found it today and received a wonderful purple hat that made the Ahork armor set bearable, until that time all the Ahork gear was stuffed in my pack for there were much better individual components available. I also ...

I finished the game in normal mode today and back tracked to the Lost City and as soon as I entered the room with the two switches, which I had previously thrown, I saw the now open doors and the treasure chest beyond with the ring to finally complete the last set. I had thought the switches only ...

As I remember 25 is max, but you can find other things that help you get up there. Besides that you have to live long enough to find someone to teach you how to become a mage. Intelligence is only one aspect: you also need wisdom and dexterity, the first two to easily solve the puzzles and quickly ...

I never found anything special there except for one of the history books. Of course I missed finding a few pieces of sets; next time through, on a harder setting, I'll be more observant of the colors and names on all the loot. And I won't leave a chapter until I have explored every nook and cranie ...

I found I had missed one of the critters when I they wouldn't sell to me and I had to go went back through the buildings to find him. I suspect the game does this on purpose.

Lost in the Dig Site of DS loa

I've talked to the Archeologist and been told to find his assistant, but can not find a way out of the territory between there and the city. Has it something to do with the many color lighted columns or is there a cave or dungeon entrance I've missed? I've been to the top of the astronomy tower and ...

I've finished IWD, IWD II, PoR:RoMD, and DS and they all are good. DS is the prettiest and most fun to play; PoR:RoMD is less linear than the rest, but is mostly gray/grey dungeon, and the Icewind Dales have the best storylines and role playing aspects. IMHO
