I do try to check for spam and delete it where I see it. Sometimes it gets bad, I agree, but the main problem with the board isn't really the 3-5 posts a day we get from spammers, it's the lack of activity overall.

The issue there is a double edged sword; because even those who despite ...

WvW are zones you port into, and can take various strongholds in. So basically - it's there for you to do whenever (almost straight from level 1, although you need to go through tutorial so likely level 2).

There's also battlegrounds you can queue up in.

In WvW - your level is scaled to 80, but ...

Compete.. and take advantage of. ;)

I remember a story (I might have heard it here) about someone's colleague getting teased at work for having sex with someone of the same gender, but in Fable. They noticed through their Steam achievements or some such.

Dragon Age: Origins is the only one under the EA banner which comes the closest to their old work. With the rest you can clearly see the hand of EA. And although Mass Effect isn't bad, it isn't a RPG at all. Dragon Age 2 is a huge disappointment compared to Origins.
Talking about Skyrim: looking ...

The ending of ME3 was different, alright. But it's incomplete, at the least. <snip>

Incomplete is a mild way of saying it.

But you implied there were (significantly) more customization and meaningful choices in KOTOR? That the mechanics were better. And apparently now, that it was more of a RPG.
Not the other way around.

So while it's been some years since I've played KOTOR numerous times, I don't recall any such ...

I enjoyed the Beta as well, although it was not without flaws. The best I can say is that it is a lot of fun, but if you want to play it as a single player I think you will get annoyed very quickly. The Republic classes may need more balancing, I played as a smuggler and many of your class skills ...

You get some 'modifications' to your companion (color's etc) so you can change their looks. I know you get some via quests, and am unsure whether there are 'rare drops' out there to truly make it different.

I liked it very much.
The dialogue, story and companion aspect I feel work very well. The game has flaws, it has some areas I hope to see improved very fast - but overall, I'm glad I preordered as soon as I did and that I bought the CE.

I can see myself loose a lot of free time in this game and ...

You get up to 5 days, depending on when you've registered your key.
Only Bioware knows the cut-off at the moment, and likely will not give out information until the 15 due to not wanting to scare off last minute pre-orders.

The Early Access haven't been detailed yet; but the logical way it will go ...

GB have never been a MMO-heavy forum. Especially when TOR has it's own forum you're not likely to find much on here.

So - is Disqus going to be the new way to comment on news?
So I can't use the account I've had for 11 years on this very site to comment on news any more?
I have to use my Twitter or Facebook?

Anything social driven fits into web 2.0, including social networking. Social networking may be an evolution of the idea, but it still fits within the bounds.

Just as "Web 2.0" is an extension of the forums from "Web 1.0" days, but just in a new fancy buzzword. Well, new and new.
