Well, for those searching through and looking for a solution to the same problem I was having, I thought I'd be considerate and post my solution. I got the Diamond Pack and unloaded my basic Neverwinter, keeping my old game files. When I reloaded my game via the new version, it worked.

Yeah, I tried opening it. It tells me it's locked and too complex to pick, etc etc.

I downloaded all the patches through the "update" part on the main menu, but it still won't unlock the door. I give the ring to the Golem, and he dissapears, but he neither drops a key nor does he unlock the door.
