I played on LS as a female, as I did the first time in kotor I .. just answer to atton in the beginning as if Revan repented and Revan was a she (also tell him that you had a double bladded purple light saber for super coolness ;) lol) anyways at the end Carth comes in ...

Im not sure but I think it has something to do with being on the ship when you try and train them, I had the same sort of error when it gave me the option of training Mira while we were aboard.. but I trained disciple fine as soon as I met him on dantooine. The game is pretty buggy :/
