Sicne there is not much chance of a sequel, are there any hobby mods that add extra quests and hubs to the game?

I have exactly the same problem! I've worked my way through all the areas, only to find that the doors won't unlock on the massage parlour and the little girl wont leave her shop (to meet me at the fish market) in China town. I figured my must be a bug... so I applied patch 1.2 and then 1.9... but ...
