The Monk is one of the best characters I've had and died very infrequently. Every level she improves and gains more abilities at level 21 she was absolutely ridiculous. I did use a sword on occasion with a single weapon proficiency to lower my AC.

The shadow doors open with the light gems and if I remember one of them doesn't need to be opened. If you mean the actual door at the end of the dungeon the symbol should open it-- if not your game is bugged.

This is a bizarre problem that made the first run of this game very confusing and un-fun as I thought that I couldn't rest until I finished an errand. I couldn't rest anywhere.

Another one already mentioned Sanctuary is probably should be illegal in these games. Any time my characters needed to retrieve a large amount of heavily guarded treasure (d'arnise chapel, mind flayers in the sewers etc.) this one spell enabled me to send my cleric in, search containers, grab items ...

Directly damaging the best spell would be the magic missile. everything else can take a close second to that one.

I hated area spells for offense because with the party AI and all that working I was NEVER in a situation where it wouldn't have damaged one member of my party. BUT I did use the druid ...

There are several possible reasons for this. One is that your game has messed up and "forgotten" them. The other is that your characters died and occasionally that little pile of goodies they leave on the ground is taken. The third reason is that you fought with a nishruu or some other such creature ...

That sounds suspiciously like an error in the game. I had no problem getting in and out through the whole thing even up to the point when something happened and i had to go back there.

I was extremely dissappointed when playing this game a second time with a female character that my only viable choice was anomen. The others in the last game were fun, but I eventually lost anomen after he went on a rampage and killed Saerk against my wishes.

And as another side note I also felt ...

The extra attack is actually a half an attack, not a full one. My 17th level monk has a 7/2 which breaks down to three and a half for every round. Five is the maximum number of attacks allowed by the game (and the Shadowkeeper).

I wish I could help you but except to offer support I can't. This was a real problem when I had the challenge in the druid grove. This is my second game and her abilities are perfectly intact. It's obviously a bug in the game.

This is my second time through on the game with Anomen in a romantic relationship with the main character. However what the guides don't mention is that he recieves a letter sometime later that Saerk WAS in fact responsible for his sister's and father's murder. He storms off seeking justice. At ...
